Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor in Austin, TX is seeking an engineer to develop, optimize and maintain TEM analysis workflows, including automated sample prep, imaging and metrology. This role focuses on recipe creation and tool automation to boost throughput and quality.

You will operate and calibrate TEM tools, provide troubleshooting, and mentor peers while exploring new techniques to drive cost savings and performance.

Qualifications

• B.S. and above in Materials Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics, Chemical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 2+ years hands‑on experience on at least 2 of AMHS, SEM, FIB, TEM, Metrology.
• Fluent in python, recipe editor or other programming languages. Previous experience on recipe or software development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Developing, optimizing and maintaining recipes for various tools using python, recipe editor or other similar programming tools.
• Performing basic operation, alignment, calibration and maintenance of the tools involved in fully automated TEM analysis.
• Providing timely support for recipe troubleshooting.
• Learning new techniques and provide training to peer engineers/technicians
• Identifying new opportunities and lead projects to improve the analytical work in terms of capability, quality, efficiency and cost saving
