Job summary

Sentinel Federal Credit Union is seeking a Teller Trainer to lead onboarding and ongoing training for tellers, ensuring accuracy and consistent member service across branches.

You will design, deliver, and improve training programs, coach staff, and partner with leadership to align training with operational goals. A passion for helping others learn and building confident teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a member-facing financial institution role required.
• Previous training, coaching, teaching, or mentoring experience required.
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Patient, approachable, and passionate about helping others learn and succeed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate onboarding and training for new tellers and employees transitioning into teller positions
• Deliver engaging hands-on training covering teller transactions, cash handling, member service, security procedures, and operational policies
• Coach, mentor, and support tellers through ongoing development, retraining, and performance feedback
• Serve as a trusted resource by answering teller questions and providing guidance on procedures, systems, and best practices
• Develop, maintain, and improve training materials, manuals, checklists, and reference guides
• Monitor employee progress and training effectiveness while identifying opportunities for continued development
• Partner with branch leadership to identify training needs and promote operational consistency across all locations
• Travel to branch locations as needed to provide training, coaching, and operational support
• Occasionally provide teller coverage to support staffing needs and ensure exceptional member service
• Participate in meetings, professional development, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen our team and member experience.
