Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in a member-facing financial institution role required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and facilitate onboarding and training for new tellers and employees transitioning into teller positions
  • Deliver engaging hands-on training covering teller transactions, cash handling, member service, security procedures, and operational policies
  • Coach, mentor, and support tellers through ongoing development, retraining, and performance feedback
  • Serve as a trusted resource by answering teller questions and providing guidance on procedures, systems, and best practices
  • Develop, maintain, and improve training materials, manuals, checklists, and reference guides
  • Monitor employee progress and training effectiveness while identifying opportunities for continued development
  • Partner with branch leadership to identify training needs and promote operational consistency across all locations
  • Travel to branch locations as needed to provide training, coaching, and operational support
  • Occasionally provide teller coverage to support staffing needs and ensure exceptional member service
  • Participate in meetings, professional development, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen our team and member experience.

Sentinel Federal Credit Union is seeking an enthusiastic, patient, and knowledgeable Teller Trainer to join our Operations team. In this role, you'll help shape the future of our teller staff by coordinating training, coaching employees, and creating engaging learning experiences that build confidence, consistency, and exceptional member service across all branch locations.

Whether you have experience in teller operations, training, coaching, or leadership, this position offers the opportunity to share your expertise, support employee development, and play a key role in strengthening the success of both our team and our members.

This position provides the opportunity to work closely with branch leadership while developing training programs, mentoring new employees, and supporting ongoing operational excellence. Pay Range
  • $22.00 - $25.00/hour DOE
  • $2.00/hour shift differential for Saturday shifts
  • Standard referral bonus eligibility
  • Pay range may be negotiable for highly qualified candidates

Who You Are
  • At least 18 years old with a valid driver's license preferred
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  • Two years of experience in a member-facing financial institution role required
  • Previous training, coaching, teaching, or mentoring experience required
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Patient, approachable, and passionate about helping others learn and succeed
  • Comfortable balancing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and organization
  • Able to adapt to changing procedures, technology, and operational needs
  • Willing to travel between branch locations as needed
  • Able to sit, stand, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
