Job summary

TENCU is seeking a Teller Supervisor at our Bellevue Branch to lead daily teller operations. You will coach staff, drive member service, and support branch growth. Strong leadership and supervisory skills are essential for this service-driven role.

Starting pay ranges from $24.00 to $27.00 per hour, depending on experience, with occasional overtime. Local candidates in Tennessee are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or related coursework preferred.
• 1 year of management/supervisory experience required, plus some college coursework; OR
• 3 years of financial institution experience with at least 2 years of management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily teller line operations and support branch staff development.
• Coach team members to deliver outstanding member service and achieve branch goals.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.
• Monitor transactions, balancing, corrections, and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with Risk Management and Internal Audit to maintain operational integrity.
• Communicate goals, expectations, and initiatives to staff.
• Assist with operational reporting, documentation, and workflow improvements.
• Support community engagement, business development, and marketing initiatives.
• Help maintain branch facilities, equipment, and supplies.

• Perform additional duties as needed to support branch and organizational success.

Please note: Occasional overtime may be required to meet business needs.

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or coursework in Business Administration or a related field preferred.
• One year of management or supervisory experience required, plus some college coursework; OR
• Three years of financial institution experience with at least two years of management experience.
• Strong understanding of financial institution operations, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
• Typing speed of 40 WPM with a minimum accuracy rate of 95%.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work independently.
• Ability to travel to TENCU's Main Branch and other locations as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the branch for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to use a computer and other office equipment for prolonged periods.
• Ability to operate a credit union vehicle when necessary.
