Job summary

Citizens Independent Bank is seeking a full-time Teller at our Hopkins branch. You will perform cash transactions, balance drawers, and assist customers with services while building lasting relationships in the community.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, cash handling and customer service experience, and a commitment to punctuality; the role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within the bank.

Responsibilities

• Process paying and receiving functions.
• Build rapport with customers, identify their needs, and refer them to bankers for appropriate products and services.
• Accepts and process payments.
• Issues Cashier's Checks, Money Orders, Certified Checks, Gift cards, and Travel cards.
• Balancing of teller drawers and machines.
• Process coin orders, and coin charges.
• Redeem U.S. Savings Bonds.
• Answer phone inquiries.
• Balance the ATM.
• Process cash advances.
• Perform other activities as requested.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process paying and receiving functions
• Build rapport with customers, identify their needs, and refer them to bankers for appropriate products and services

REQUIREMENTS

Customer service & cash handling experience, exceptional customer service skills & good figure aptitude. Must be flexible & available Monday - Friday, and rotating Saturday morning at another CIB Branch.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High school graduate or GED
• Previous bank experience preferred
• Previous cash handling work experience preferred
• Basic math proficiency and aptitude
• Dedication to providing excellent customer service
• Dedicated and satisfactory attendance/punctuality

Starting Salary Range: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications
