Job summary

Liberty First Credit Union in Lincoln is seeking a Teller to service members with in-person transactions and cross-sell credit union services. You will handle deposits, withdrawals, and various teller tasks, while promoting prudent borrowing and saving activities.

Responsibilities include processing checks, handling money orders, and assisting with safe deposit access, all while maintaining confidentiality and ensuring accuracy in daily deposits and balances.

Qualifications

• Some teller experience preferred.
• Experience with cash handling and customer service preferred.
• High school degree plus some college preferred.
• Must have professional, well-developed interpersonal skills necessary for servicing Credit Union members and projecting a positive attitude and image as a representative for the Credit Union.
• Intermediate mathematical skill required (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.).
• Good judgment is required in day-to-day situations and problems within established guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Process transactions to deposit/loan products and other teller tasks, including night drop, mail, and general ledger.
• Sell money orders, cashier checks, gift cards, redeem savings bonds, and process check orders.
• Handle credit card cash advances and payments; encode savings bonds and scan checks.
• Manage cash within drawer, including cash recyclers; balance and deposit daily totals.
• Assist members with safe deposit access and account inquiries; provide service through multiple channels.
