Job summary

California Coast Credit Union in California is seeking a Teller to process member transactions and requests with accuracy and a friendly demeanor. You will meet sales goals by identifying opportunities and referring members to Personal Financial Representatives.

The role requires knowledge of cash handling, policy adherence, and the ability to operate standard business machines. Occasional weekend/evening shifts and branch duties may be required.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is desired.
• Teller I: Previous sales, member service, and cash handling experience in a financial institution is preferred
• Teller II: 1 year experience in a financial institution as a teller plus proven successful performance in sales, member service and cash handling
• Teller III: 3 years experience in a financial institution as a teller plus proven successful performance in sales, member service and cash handling
• Excellent communication skills; sound judgment and attention to detail.
• Ability to operate standard business machines such as computer, printer, fax, copier and telephonic devices.
• Occasional Saturday, Sunday and evening shifts may be required to accommodate branch, Business Development and Community Relations functions.

Responsibilities

• Process member transactions and requests accurately and timely.

• Refer members to appropriate staff for sales opportunities.
