Job Responsibilities

1. Conduct transactions with speed, accuracy, and efficiency while meeting or exceeding service quality standards.
2. Safeguard bank assets and promote cross-selling of bank products and services.
3. Perform duties involving floating to different branch locations as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Handle cash transactions, negotiable items, loan payments, deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
• Set up, close, and balance teller station.
• Record sales of monetary instruments.
• Maintain a neat and well-stocked teller area.
• Cross-sell bank products and services.
• Follow established limits for account protection and bank safety.
• Adhere to bank policies and procedures.
• Assist with balancing vault, ATM, night drop, and coin machine.
• Assist with proper scanning of bank documents and proof work.
• Exercise judgment in applying holds and check cashing decisions.
• Be available to open basic new consumer accounts.
• Maintain a positive, friendly, and professional attitude and appearance.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned, including lifting coin bags up to 50 lbs.
• Complete required BSA/AML and other compliance training as needed.

Qualifications

Successful performance requires fulfilling all essential duties satisfactorily. The following are the minimum requirements:

Education and Experience

Equivalent to four years of high school or GED, with 12 to 18 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills

• Effective communication in person and in small groups.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, especially with money.
• Ability to use common sense to follow instructions and deal with standardized situations.

Certifications

Not required or indicated.

Software Skills

• Basic knowledge of 10-Key, spreadsheets, and word processing.

Working and Environmental Conditions

• Moderate noise, intermittent standing, walking, pushing, carrying, or lifting.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. and perform physical activities as described.

Additional Information

• Must be available to float between locations and flexible in scheduling.
• Position requires frequent vehicle use.
