First-Bank in Asheville, NC is seeking a Teller I to perform routine branch and customer services duties, including deposits, loan payments, cashing checks and vault duties.

Incumbents in this role typically have less than 3 years of teller experience and will grow with on-the-job training.

You will balance cash drawers, process transactions accurately, cross-sell bank products and maintain strong customer relations while following security and regulatory standards.

Formación

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Work related experience could consist of reception or secretarial duties in a business environment.
• Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.
• Intermediate knowledge of Bank operations, products and services; related state and federal laws and regulations, and other Bank operational policies and procedures.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills – ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; mainframe computer system; word processing, spreadsheet and specialty software programs.
• Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct personnel.

Responsabilidades

• Receives deposits and cashes checks and processes withdrawals with proper documentation.
• Assists with night depository and vault duties and balance of cash drawer.
• Cross-sells bank products and refers customers to appropriate staff.
• Maintains security procedures and adheres to regulatory requirements.
