Job summary

Elkhorn Valley Bank & Trust is seeking a full-time Teller to serve as the primary contact for customers at our Norfolk, NE locations. You will handle daily transactions, provide outstanding service, and identify opportunities to refer bank products.

The role requires cash handling, strong communication, basic math skills, and reliability. Indoor, steady work with moderate lifting is expected; energetic teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience working with the public and handling cash preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the bank.
• Provide great customer service to all customers and non-customers.
• Answer customer questions or guide them to the people who can.
• Perform all general teller duties: balance drawer, deposits, cash checks, issue monetary instruments, withdraws, redeem bonds, issue gift cards, order checks and debit cards.

Teller (Full-time) - Norfolk, NE locations

Our bank tellers serve as the primary point of contact for customers and non-customers and provide outstanding customer service throughout the interaction. They perform a variety of customer transactions on a daily basis, provide information, resolve issues and look for opportunities to strengthen the customer relationship through suggestion of other bank products and services.

Core Job Responsibilities:

1. Open and close the bank.
2. Provide great customer service to all customers and non-customers.
3. Answer customer questions or guide them to the people who can.
4. Complete general teller duties:
5. Balance drawer;
6. Make consumer and commercial deposits;
7. Cash checks for both customers and non-customers;
8. Issue monetary instruments;
9. Perform withdraw transactions;
10. Process credit card payments and loan payments;
11. Redeem savings bonds;
12. Issue gift cards;
13. Order checks and debit cards.
14. Fill out necessary reports and logs – for example, monetary check log; CTRs and SARs.
15. Fill out proper paperwork for WSUDs and stop payments and handle them correctly.
16. Load and balance TOD.
17. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

Working environment

• Indoor work – not exposed to outdoor elements or hazards
• Prolonged standing and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs at a time occasionally and up to 50 lbs rarely.
