Job summary

First State Bank & Trust is seeking experienced or entry level tellers to join our team. You will handle money accurately, verify identity, and ensure sufficient account balances while processing transactions.

The teller role requires reliability, punctuality, and strong people skills to deliver excellent customer service. Essential duties include accepting cash and checks, balancing drawers, processing money orders and currency exchange, promoting bank products, and occasionally traveling

Responsibilities

• Accept cash, checks and other forms of payment from customers.
• Fill teller station supplies, count and roll coin.
• Balance drawer daily with periodic batching of cashed checks.
• Process credit cash advances, redeem US savings bonds, money orders, cashier’s checks.
• Buy/sell currency from the vault and order money.
• Promote bank products and services.
• Travel may be required between office locations as needed for training.

Job description

We are looking for experienced, or entry level Tellers to join our company. You will be responsible for the accurate handling of money through activities such as verifying customer’s identity and ensuring the account balance is enough to cover transactions, among other things. Our bank teller must be detail-oriented and precise. Reliability, promptness, and attendance are considered essential functions of this position. Tellers must have excellent people skills and customer service skills.

• Travel may be required between office locations as needed. Some travel may be required for additional training.
