Job summary

Elkhorn Valley Bank and Trust is seeking a bank teller to handle a variety of daily transactions and provide exceptional customer service at the teller window and drive-thru. The role involves cash handling, deposits and withdrawals, and assisting customers with questions in a fast-paced banking environment.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior cash-handling experience. Strong math, communication, and data-entry skills are essential for accurate record-keeping

Responsibilities

• Open and close the bank.
• Provide great customer service to all customers and non-customers.
• Answer customer questions or guide them to the people who can.
• Complete general teller duties:
• Balance drawer;
• Make consumer and commercial deposits;
• Cash checks for both customers and non-customers;
• Issue monetary instruments;
• Perform withdraw transactions;
• Process credit card payments and loan payments;
• Redeem savings bonds;
• Issue gift cards;
• Order checks and debit cards.
• Fill out necessary reports and logs – for example, monetary check log; CTRs and SARs.
• Fill out proper paperwork for WSUDs and stop payments and handle them correctly.
• Load and balance TOD.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

I. Job Summary

A teller handles all types of bank transactions in the teller window and through the drive through. A teller provides service to customers regarding daily transactions, including receipts and payment of cash, answering questions.

II. Essential Functions

1. Open and close the bank.
2. Provide great customer service to all customers and non-customers.
3. Answer customer questions or guide them to the people who can.
