Job summary

River Bank in West Salem, Wisconsin is seeking a Teller I to provide attentive customer service and carry out transactions for bank customers on-site. You will balance cash, process deposits and withdrawals, and refer complex needs to the appropriate departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely service for customers, including cashing checks, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and more.
• Balance cash drawer daily and end-of-day processing.
• Balance and post vault transactions during rotation.
• Answer basic customer inquiries in person and via phone.
• Recognize and report fraudulent or suspicious activity to supervisor.
• Light cleaning duties to maintain lobby/teller line appearance.
• Assist with other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm + rotating Saturdays 8:00am-12:00pm.

Position Summary:

The Teller I is responsible for providing service to bank customers by conducting appropriate transactions and meeting the needs of customers by referring them to appropriate departments within the bank.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and timely service for customers, which includes, but is not limited to, cashing checks and savings bonds, cash advances, accepting deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, dispensing monetary instruments, wire transfers, loan and safe deposit box payments, and completing check orders, within established guidelines and procedures.
• Balance cash drawer daily, including periodic batching of checks and end of day processing.
• Balance and post vault transactions in accordance with all Vault Teller/Dual Control procedures during assigned rotation.
• Answer basic customer inquiries in person and via phone.
• Recognize and report any fraudulent or suspicious activity to your supervisor.
• Light cleaning duties as needed to maintain appearance of lobby and teller line.
• Assist with other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Customer Service and/or Sales experience.
