Job summary

Community Financial System, Inc. is seeking a Teller to provide friendly, accurate service at our branch. You will handle deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing while verifying customer identities and maintaining cash accuracy.

You will educate customers on digital banking tools, support lobby operations, and collaborate with teammates to meet branch goals. Flexible hours and training travel may be required; candidates must be 18+ and possess a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must complete internal teller and product training.
• Attend 5–7 day training program; travel may be required; company covers travel expenses.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a welcoming, professional first point of contact for customers entering the branch.
• Process routine financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing with identity verification.
• Engage customers to understand transactional needs and educate them on digital banking tools.
• Refer customers to appropriate team members for additional services.
• Support lobby management and direct inquiries to the right service area.
• Assist with routine inquiries and escalate complex issues as needed.
