Job summary

Community Financial System, Inc. is seeking a part-time Teller to join our branch team. You will handle routine transactions, assist customers with deposits, withdrawals, and check cashing, and promote digital banking tools. This role emphasizes accuracy, customer service, and adherence to security standards.

Hours are 25 per week with competitive benefits and opportunities for growth. Prior banking experience is preferred, and training will be provided to support career development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to complete internal teller and product training.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Prior customer service and/or banking experience preferred.
• Travel to training sessions may be required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as welcoming first point of contact for customers entering the branch.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing with verification of customer identity and funds.
• Educate customers on digital banking tools and self-service options.
• Identify opportunities to direct customers to appropriate team members for additional services.
• Support lobby management and guide customers to the right service area.
• Answer incoming calls and direct inquiries per bank standards.
• Maintain cash drawer balance and adhere to security procedures.
