Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking a teller at our Silverdale, WA location to be the first point of contact for clients. You will perform cash transactions, balance cash drawers, and process deposits and withdrawals accurately while upholding our Breakthrough Client Service Standards.

Under guidance of Branch Manager, you will identify client needs, offer suitable products, deepen relationships, and support branch risk controls. This onsite role requires attention to detail and a customer‑centric approach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of previous banking or customer service experience preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Ability to learn and comply with all Bank policies, procedures, and systems.
• Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in numbers and instructions.
• Ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Always perform teller transactions and cash handling with accuracy and confidentiality (deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, check cashing, balancing cash drawer).
• Balance and maintain the integrity of the branch; operate ATM cash handling and other duties.
• Mitigate risk by securing money and prompt transfer of funds; ensure safekeeping of cash drawer.
• Interact with clients; anticipate needs and provide proactive solutions aligned with service standards.
• Deepen knowledge of Columbia Bank products and services; stay updated on changes.
• Discuss and uncover customer financial needs to identify and offer appropriate products.
• Support branch referral goals by directing customers to appropriate business partners.
