Job summary

Popular is seeking a Teller to accurately process cash transactions and provide courteous, informed service to our clients. You will handle cash, balance drawers, and promote digital banking options while upholding bank policies and audits.

This onsite role requires a minimum high school diploma and cash-handling or retail sales experience. You will collaborate with branch leadership to meet goals, build strong client relationships, and educate customers on self-service channels and digital

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months cash handling and/or retail sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute teller banking transactions accurately in line with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Process payments and receipts for all product types, courteously and accurately.
• Reference the client by name to provide personalized service.
• Maintain cash in the teller area and secure cash per policies.
• Balance cash drawer, ATMs, cash recyclers, and vault as required.
• Assist in processing night depository bags and ATM settlements.
• Comply with bank policies to ensure branch passes audits.
• Work with branch manager to attain or exceed individual goals.
• Build trust-based client relationships by listening to needs and cross-selling products/services.
• Educate clients on self-service and digital channels (online, mobile, etc.).
• Collaborate with management on new developments and initiatives.
• Support compliance functions including reconciliations, audits, reporting.
• Promote branch community involvement and CRA related activities.
• Identify fraudulent or forged documents and report promptly.
• Maintain client confidentiality at all times.
