Job summary

Northeast Bank in Auburn, ME is seeking a personable Banking Center Teller to serve as the first point of contact for customers. You will process retail and small-business transactions, provide account information, and refer customers to specialists when appropriate.

You'll contribute to a high-quality customer experience, support sales campaigns, and maintain accurate records and cash handling under bank policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in banking, insurance, retail services, hospitality, or related field.
• Thoroughness and strict attention to detail.
• Excellent mathematical skills.
• Competence with computers and office equipment.
• Excellent customer service skills, tact and diplomacy.

Responsibilities

• Processes retail and commercial financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and cashing checks.
• Provides customers with basic account information and recent activity.
• Maintains knowledge of bank products to make suitable recommendations.
• Proactively generates consumer and small-business deposit and loan referrals.
• Participates in sales, marketing, and promotional campaigns.
• Refer customers to the Lead Teller or Banking Center Manager for complex issues.
