Job summary

Northeast Bank in Auburn, ME is hiring a full‑time Teller to serve as the first point of contact for customers visiting a Banking Center. You will process a wide range of financial transactions, provide basic account information, and help customers select products or refer them to specialists as appropriate.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of experience in banking or related field preferred.
• Thoroughness and strong attention to detail essential.
• Excellent mathematical skills required.
• Proficiency with computers and office equipment expected.

Responsibilities

• Process retail and commercial financial transactions (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, checks).
• Provide customers with basic account info and balance due dates.
• Know product/service offerings and make suitable recommendations.
• Generate referrals for deposits and small-business loans.
• Participate in sales, marketing, and promotional campaigns.
• Answer inquiries and route to appropriate service areas as needed.
• Open and/or close Banking Center and balance cash drawer daily.
