Job summary

Evolvefcu is seeking a teller to accurately process member transactions and manage cash under supervisory control. The role involves handling cash, deposits, withdrawals, and related payments while ensuring accurate balancing of daily transactions.

Ideal candidates will have a GED or high school diploma and at least six months of teller experience or one year of cashiering in a non-financial setting. Strong math and communication skills are required.

SUMMARY:

Responsible for the accurate processing of member transactions. Directly responsible for the cash under his/her control.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs various cash and check deposit duties, along with check cashing responsibilities as requested by members.

Performs cash or check withdrawals from deposit accounts as requested by members, along with processing cash/check loan payments.

Balances cash and daily transactions.

Provides information on deposit and loan services offered by the credit union.

Assists members on specific questions with their accounts.

Performs other duties as requested by management.

Responsible for posting night drop deposits and mail deposits.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Minimum six months paying and receiving teller experience required, or one-year cashiering experience at non-financial institution.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to members, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS 1:

Working knowledge of and ability to use CRT and 10-key calculator.
