Job summary

evolve Federal Credit Union is seeking a Teller to handle member transactions and cash handling. You will cash checks, process deposits and withdrawals, balance cash, and advise members on account services.

The role requires attention to detail, good numerical ability, and the capacity to work with the public in a friendly, accurate manner.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum six months paying and receiving teller experience, or one year cashiering experience at a non-financial institution.

• Performs various cash and check deposit duties, along with check cashing responsibilities as requested by members.
• Performs cash or check withdrawals from deposit accounts as requested by members, along with processing cash/check loan payments.
• Balances cash and daily transactions.
• Provides information on deposit and loan services offered by the credit union.
• Assists members on specific questions with their accounts.
• Performs other duties as requested by management.
• Responsible for posting night drop deposits and mail deposits.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to members, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS 1:

Working knowledge of and ability to use CRT and 10-key calculator.
