Job summary

The County of El Dorado's Health and Human Services Agency is seeking a Social Worker IV in Child Welfare to handle advanced casework, develop treatment plans, and protect vulnerable children and adults in Placerville or South Lake Tahoe.

You will manage complex caseloads, respond to abuse reports, coordinate family visitations, and collaborate with courts, schools and community partners. A master's degree in Social Work or a qualifying counseling degree is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or equivalent.
• Master's degree from an accredited two-year counseling program.*
• One year of full-time experience performing advanced journey-level social work case management; plus a master's degree in social/behavioral science, psychology, anthropology, sociology, or counseling education.

Responsibilities

• Carry a caseload of complex social services cases with high technical competence.
• Receive and respond to reports of suspected abuse; investigate and protect vulnerable children and adults.
• Develop intensive treatment plans to improve or restore family functioning.
• Ensure services are delivered respectfully and in conformance with agency, state, and federal requirements.
• Coordinate family visitations and monitor progress toward case goals.
