The County of El Dorado is seeking an Advanced Level Substance Use Treatment Counselor to join the Health and Human Services Agency, Behavioral Health Division, in Placerville. The role focuses on screening, assessment, and evidence-based treatment plans for clients with substance use disorders, including co-occurring conditions.

Ideal candidates will have a BS in addiction studies or related field and at least two years of professional counseling experience.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in addiction studies/disorders/counseling, psychology, or closely related field.
• Two (2) years of experience providing professional support or counseling services in a substance use disorder treatment program.

Responsabilidades

• Screening and assessments in office and field to inform SUDS treatment based on industry standards.
• Formulate case management and treatment plan strategies with timelines for clients.
• Provide direct counseling individually or in groups and document progress notes and reports.
• Refer clients to outside resources and coordinate with other providers for proper placement.
• Participate in staff meetings and trainings to maintain certifications and professional development.
• Provide information to clients and families on program processes and funding procedures.
• Maintain documentation per federal, state and county requirements.
• Attend meetings, committees and conferences related to program goals.
