Job summary

The Oklahoma Department of Human Services seeks a Family Services Specialist I/II to support Adult and Family Services in Idabel, OK. The role interviews, processes electronic applications and renewals for SNAP, Child Care, and Medical programs, and provides first-contact resolution via our virtual eligibility center or calls.

Travel is occasional; telework is supported after a training period in the office for the first 120 days.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in administrative support, recordkeeping, customer service, or client service in a public, healthcare, or social services setting.
• Bachelor’s degree, or associate degree plus two years of related experience, or equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Provide world-class customer service to Adult and Family Services clients.
• Interview, process electronic applications and renewals for SNAP, Child Care, and Medical programs.
• Interpret and apply policy, document casework, and perform complex tasks; first-contact resolution via phone or virtual center.
