Job summary
Thriveworks seeks Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners in Virginia Beach, VA to provide assessments and medications for a diverse population using in-person and telemedicine care. Applicants must be licensed PMHNP with Virginia prescriptive authority and board certification; 1 year psychiatry required, 3 years preferred.
Competitive fee-for-service W2 compensation and comprehensive benefits offered.
Qualifications
- Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner; board certification required.
- Master’s in Nursing with active prescriptive authority in VA.
- Experience: 1 year psychiatry; 3 years preferred.
- Must be licensed in the practicing state.
- In-house ADHD treatment standards training with certification exam.
Responsibilities
- Perform psychiatric assessments and evaluations for in-person and telemedicine patients.
- Treat patients aged 14+ and prescribe medications as appropriate.
- Develop and update individual care plans with clients.
- Complete required paperwork and assessment tools.
- Adhere to Thriveworks clinical guidelines and policies.
- Consult with Regional Clinic Directors on cases and programs.
