Job summary

Thriveworks is seeking a licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our Norfolk, VA team. This in-person role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and prescribing medications as medically appropriate per guidelines.

Clinicians work with adolescents and adults, using telemedicine as part of a hybrid care model, with competitive compensation, benefits, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with board certification.
• Master's in Nursing with active prescriptive authority in the practicing state.
• Knowledge of EMR systems (AdvancedMD) is a plus.
• Three years of experience is a plus; 1 year of psychiatry practice is required.
• Clinicians must be licensed and reside in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Make psychiatric assessments and evaluations for in-person and telemedicine care.
• Treat patients aged 14 and up when appropriate.
• Prescribe medications to alleviate symptoms as needed.
• Develop and update individual care plans with clients.
• Complete paperwork and use assessment tools per guidelines.
• Collaborate with regional directors and staff across sites.
