Job summary

Thriveworks is seeking a licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Virginia to provide telemedicine care to adolescents and adults, with emphasis on safe prescribing and patient-centered assessments. This fee-for-service (W2) position requires board certification, a master's in nursing with prescriptive authority, and 15–20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with board certification.
• Master's in Nursing with active prescriptive authority in the practicing state.
• Experience with AdvancedMD EMR is a plus.
• Three years of experience is a plus; 1 year of psychiatry practice is required.
• Practitioners must be licensed and live in the state they practice.

Responsibilities

• Make psychiatric assessments and evaluations via telemedicine.
• Willingness to treat clients aged 14 and up.
• Prescribe medications to reduce mental health symptoms as needed.
• Create and collaborate on care plans with clients.
• Complete and/or administer appropriate paperwork and assessment tools.
• Adhere to Thriveworks' Clinical Practice Guidelines.
• Consult with Regional Clinic Directors and staff on clients and programs.
