Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or relevant experience required.
• Medical terminology preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current.
• Experience using computers for word processing, database management preferred

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the communication needs of the department and transcribes physician orders with notation and signature by nursing staff.
• Prepares and compiles records on the Emergency Room and ensures daily chart forms are complete.
• Orders supplies for the unit and maintains patient charts with required forms.
• Assists nursing staff with duties involving indirect patient care.
