Sonoma Valley Hospital is seeking a Unit Assistant/Telemetry Technician to support MedSurg and ICU teams with safe, efficient care. You will assist with patient flow, maintain unit organization, and help with telemetry monitoring under RN supervision.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, accurate documentation, and timely communication. Requires a high school diploma, CNA preferred, BLS, and basic Arrhythmia training within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year as telemetry technician or nursing student (first semester) preferred.
• Current CNA license preferred; BLS required.
• Basic Arrhythmia coursework or hospital exam within first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service to patients, visitors and staff with a positive attitude.
• Maintains patient paper charts and unit organization, and updates census and boards.
• Supports patient flow by coordinating bed assignments and discharge paperwork under RN guidance.
• Assists with telemetry monitoring, rounds on patients, and notifies RN of abnormalities.
• Ensures safe environment, hand hygiene, and proper equipment cleaning per policy.
