Job summary

Adventist Health Simi Valley is seeking a Telemetry Aide to perform a variety of duties related to cardiac rhythm monitoring, interpretation, and communication with nursing staff. The role includes clerical support and ensuring timely documentation.

Education of a High School Diploma or GED is required; CPR/BLS certification is mandatory. Preferred is an Associate/Technical degree and experience with electronic medical records in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent required.
• CPR or BLS certification required per AH policy.
• BLS certification from AH policy required.

Responsibilities

• Monitors electrocardiogram continuously, identifies rhythms and reports changes to nursing staff.
• Supports unit monitoring and evaluation; provides EMR order entry support for physicians and staff.
• Monitors EMR throughout the day and addresses concerns with the RN as necessary.
• Assists with admission and discharge; documents physician progress notes in chart.
• Maintains Central EKG Telemetry Monitoring system for Direct Observation Unit.
