Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is seeking a Telemetry Technician to monitor telemetry for patients on the Surgical Intermediate Unit, including adults and geriatrics. You will be responsible for operating telemetry equipment, documenting readings, and communicating changes to the nursing team while maintaining patient-centered care and a friendly environment.

Qualifications include preferred EKG Tech, no travel, and no prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Monitors telemetry equipment and notifies appropriate staff of issues.
• Logs telemetry data and patient notes accurately.
• Maintains, calibrates and replaces telemetry monitors as needed.
• Identifies rate/rhythm changes and notifies Charge Nurse.
• Ensures alarms are set properly and audible.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of telemetry work area.
