Qualifications

• Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs within 30 days of start date.
• Preferred background as LPN/Paramedic/RN nursing student with EKG training.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor alarms continuously and ensure timely responses; verify rhythm identifications.
• Continuously observe all monitors and respond to alarms promptly and appropriately.
• Interpret EKGs including rate, rhythm, PRI, QRS, QT, and ST changes.
• Ensure strip interpretations are validated by RN.
