Job summary

Providence Tarzana Medical Center in Los Angeles is seeking a Telemetry Technician to support nurses in planning, coordinating, and delivering high-quality, individualized patient care using the nursing process. Qualifications

• Completion of Basic Dysrhythmia/Arrhythmia course upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association required on hire.
• California Fire and Life Safety Card within 30 days of hire.
• 1-year Telemetry Technician experience or 1-year direct patient care experience plus Monitor Tech Certification.

Reporting to the Nurse Manager, with direction from the Registered Nurse, this position is responsible for assisting in the planning, coordinating and providing high quality, individualized patient care using the components of the nursing process.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Completion of Basic Dysrhythmia/Arrhythmia course upon hire.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization within 30 days of hire
• 1-year Telemetry Technician experience in an acute care setting or 1-year direct patient care experience in an acute care setting and completion of Monitor Tech Certification course.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year Experience with electronic health record data entry
