Job summary

Providence Tarzana Medical Center is seeking a Telemetry Technician to assist in planning, coordinating, and providing high-quality patient care under supervision. You will support nursing staff and contribute to efficient monitoring of patients with rhythm abnormalities in an acute care environment.

The role requires completion of dysrhythmia training, BLS, and safety certifications, with preferred EHR data entry experience.

Qualifications

• Basic Dysrhythmia/Arrhythmia course required on hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association required on hire.
• California Fire and Life Safety Card within 30 days of hire.
• Monitor Tech Certification or equivalent direct patient care experience.

Reporting to the Nurse Manager, with direction from the Registered Nurse, this position is responsible for assisting in the planning, coordinating and providing high quality, individualized patient care using the components of the nursing process.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Completion of Basic Dysrhythmia/Arrhythmia course upon hire.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization within 30 days of hire
• 1-year Telemetry Technician experience in an acute care setting or 1-year direct patient care experience in an acute care setting and completion of Monitor Tech Certification course.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year Experience with electronic health record data entry
