Job summary

Providence Tarzana Medical Center in California is seeking a Telemetry Technician to assist in planning, coordinating and delivering high-quality patient care under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and Registered Nurse.

The role requires completion of dysrhythmia/arrhythmia training, BLS certification, and a California Fire & Life Safety Card within 30 days of hire; experience in acute care and ECG monitoring preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of Basic Dysrhythmia/Arrhythmia course upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association required.
• California Fire and Life Safety Card to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• 1 year Telemetry Technician experience in an acute care setting or 1 year direct patient care experience with Monitor Tech Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating and providing high-quality patient care using the nursing process under supervision.
• Follow direction from the Nurse Manager and Registered Nurse.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort during telemetry monitoring and care.

Reporting to the Nurse Manager, with direction from the Registered Nurse, this position is responsible for assisting in the planning, coordinating and providing high quality, individualized patient care using the components of the nursing process.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Completion of Basic Dysrhythmia/Arrhythmia course upon hire.


• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association


• California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization within 30 days of hire


• 1-year Telemetry Technician experience in an acute care setting or 1-year direct patient care experience in an acute care setting and completion of Monitor Tech Certification course.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year Experience with electronic health record data entry
