Job summary

You will ensure equipment functionality and proper lead placement to support safe patient monitoring. The role requires completing a telemetry/EKG interpretation course and 0–2 years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of a telemetry or EKG interpretation course during orientation period required.
• 0-2 years of clerical and/or clinical experience in a medical setting required.

Responsibilities

• Continuously observes and interprets telemetry monitors, recording rhythm strips at established intervals.
• Identifies rhythm changes and notifies nurse or licensed personnel immediately.
• Maintains effective communication with peers, staff, physicians, and leaders for care coordination.
• Troubleshoots and resolves issues with monitoring equipment and escalates unresolved problems.
• Maintains equipment organization and proper configuration for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Ensures correct lead placement and electrode application for optimal telemetry monitoring.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains regular attendance.
