Responsibilities

• Continuously observes cardiac monitor; interact, maintain, and document.
• Reads and documents basic and lethal arrhythmias; notify RN of rhythm changes.
• Maintain good quality ECG signals and monitoring equipment.
• Transcribe physician orders accurately and enter data into MAR/computer.
• Input and retrieve patient data from the computer; update census and charts.
• Ensure proper patient identification and maintain charting forms and PAR levels.
• Respond to Nurse Call within 3 minutes and coordinate with staff for needs.
