Southern California Hospitals is seeking a Monitor Technician to provide continuous observation of patients' cardiac rhythm and identify basic arrhythmias. The role requires promptly notifying licensed staff of changes and troubleshooting monitoring systems.

The incumbent will mount rhythm strips, maintain accurate telemetry documentation, and ensure infection control practices are followed.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Basic Arrhythmia Certification.
• AHA Basic Life Support.
• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Computer literacy.
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Los Angeles City Employees only).

Mansioni

• Provides continuous observation and cardiac monitoring for an assigned group of patients and reports changes to licensed staff.
• Mounts rhythm strips and provides an accurate rhythm summary at shift change.
• Troubleshoots false alarms and monitors system performance.
