County of Riverside seeks a Telemetry Technician for the Riverside University Health System - Medical Center in Moreno Valley. You will remotely observe ECG screens, interpret rhythm strips, document rhythms, and report abnormalities to licensed staff.

The role requires dysrhythmia detection training, to monitor EKG, pulse oximetry, and RR from a central location, with day/night 12-hour shifts. Open to all applicants.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent; certificate of proficiency or GED as noted in education section.
• One year in an acute care setting providing clerical support or patient care.
• Current Telemetry Technician Certificate and BLS certification as required in the notification.

Aufgaben

• Run ECG strips per protocol; measure, analyze and interpret waveforms accordingly.
• Observe cardiac monitoring tracing of all patients on telemetry.
• Describe characteristics of ECG rhythms; document rhythms per department policies.
• Admit, transfer, and/or discharge patients from telemetry and related monitoring systems.
• Respond to alarms or changes from baseline per protocols.
• Provide rhythm strips for the medical record; maintain accurate data.
• Troubleshoot monitoring equipment and report issues.
• Provide reports to relieving technician about significant changes.
• Clean monitoring equipment and maintain inventory.
