Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Telemetry Monitor Tech to support patient care on a night shift (7p-7a) with two 12-hour shifts weekly at Park Ridge, IL. CPR certified with high school diploma required; Basic EKG exam within 12 weeks.

You'll coordinate with ED and nursing teams, maintain logs, and assist with patient safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED/HSED required.
• CPR certification required.
• Successful completion of Basic EKG exam within the first 12 weeks of employment in the role.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret patient EKGs on telemetry.
• Admit and discharge patients from central monitoring.
• Interpret and alert team of EKG rhythms.
• Notify staff for lead issues and electrode changes to ensure proper QRS on telemetry.
• Maintain communication logs.
• Document EKG strips and changes in patient records.
• Promote patient safety and participate in safety initiatives.
• Support patient care tasks such as transporting specimens.
