Job summary

Endeavor Health in Chicago, IL is seeking a part-time Telemetry Technician to monitor ECG and vital signs on telemetry, interpret rhythms, and report changes to nursing staff.

You will operate ECG equipment, maintain records, and collaborate with the care team to ensure patient safety during nights. Requires a Diploma or Vocational Degree; hospital telemetry experience preferred and completion of an EKG rhythm interpretation course.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Vocational Degree General Studies required
• One year of hospital Telemetry Technician experience preferred
• EKG Rhythm Interpretation Course completed during orientation, approved by Endeavor Health Nursing Education

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs of patients on telemetry using ECG equipment
• Recognize and promptly report significant changes to nursing staff and healthcare providers
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of telemetry equipment to ensure accurate monitoring
• Maintain accurate records of patient cardiac rhythms and data, documenting interventions
• Collaborate with nurses and healthcare professionals to provide timely information on patient status
• Respond to alarms and troubleshoot telemetry equipment to ensure proper functioning
• Adhere to privacy guidelines when handling patient information
• Attend mandatory training and in-service education programs
