Advocate Health Care in Oakbrook Terrace, IL is seeking a Telemetry Monitor Technician to support clinical teams by monitoring patients' cardiac rhythms and communicating changes in status.

No prior healthcare experience is required; comprehensive telemetry education and competency training are provided. The role offers three 12-hour shifts per week onsite with rotating weekends and holidays.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Telemetry education and competency within 6-12 weeks of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Continuously monitor cardiac telemetry systems for assigned patients.
• Promptly notify nursing staff of changes in a patient's heart rhythm.
• Record and document heart rhythms hourly and when changes occur.
• Run telemetry strips per established policies and procedures.
• Alert nursing staff when telemetry signals are interrupted or equipment needs attention.
• Maintain daily inventory of telemetry transmitters and lead wires.
• Handle confidential patient information with professionalism and discretion.
• Collaborate with registered nurses and healthcare team to support quality patient care.
