UNC Health Nash is seeking a Monitor Tech to assist caregivers by monitoring cardiac rhythms, handling clerical tasks, and maintaining the patient care unit desk onsite. You will help ensure adherence to hospital standards and provide quality patient care.

This full-time night-shift role (36 hours weekly) requires completing Medical Terminology and Basic Arrhythmia courses in the first year; strong knowledge of medical terminology and cardiac monitoring is preferred.

• Adheres to policies, safety plans, and regulatory standards.
• Demonstrates competency in Monitor Technician skills.
• Documents and interprets patient heart rhythms via telemetry.
• Ensures patient safety by notifying the charge nurse of risks.
• Communicates routine information clearly, both orally and in writing.
• Identifies arrhythmias or significant changes and reports promptly.
• Obtains six-second strip as indicated and relays strips for evaluation.
• Organizes work for shift to ensure quality patient care.
