Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center is seeking an onsite Telemetry Tech for a full-time role in Bandon, OR. The position oversees the telemetry monitor, coordinates unit activities with the Charge Nurse, and handles clerical, reception and computer-entry tasks to ensure smooth unit operations.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, BLS certification within 60 days, and knowledge of cardiac rhythm identification.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • BLS must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
  • Knowledge/experience identifying cardiac rhythm strips or formal training within 6 months of hire.
  • Thorough knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a drive to provide exceptional service.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, and computer proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

Salary Range: $18.88 To $24.52 Hourly

Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center has an opening for an onsite Telemetry Tech. Coordinates unit activities, including oversight of the central monitor (telemetry) system, in collaboration with the Charge Nurse. Facilitates smooth running of the unit by performing clerical, reception, computer entry/processing, telemetry monitoring, and organizational duties. Add safety to the patient who demonstrates behavior detrimental towards self or others.

Skills, Knowledge, & Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) have or must obtain within 60 days of hire required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of/experience with identification of cardiac rhythm strips or complete formal training within 6 months of hire required.
  • Thorough knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a drive to provide exceptional service.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, and computer proficiency specifically, in Microsoft Office and online software.

This is a Full-Time onsite position that is eligible for benefits. * SCHHC pays the full employee-only amount for Health, Dental, Vision, and Basic Life & AD&D insurance. *
