Qualifications

• Must be fluent in verbal and written English.

• Educational requirement: High school diploma or GED; Nursing Assistant I certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and health care providers with routine examinations and procedures; procure equipment and supplies.
• Review patient care documentation; report significant changes to RN or physician.
• Perform clerical tasks: organize workload, greet visitors, review orders, transcribe orders, maintain medical records, and conduct quality assurance audits.
• Provide clinical support: clean work area, troubleshoot equipment and software, restock supplies, transport patients and specimens, and orient new staff.
• Provide direct patient care per care plan: bathing, dressing, feeding, ambulation assistance; measure vitals and height/weight; collect specimens as needed.
• Reinforce patient education and distribute educational materials.
