Job summary

Advocate Health’s University City Med Telemetry unit seeks a full-time RN to provide direct patient care, coordinate with the care team, and ensure safety and quality across the care continuum. CAD responsibilities include medication administration, documentation, and patient-family engagement.

Qualified candidates must hold an active RN license, have completed an approved nursing program, and demonstrate strong clinical judgment and communication skills.

Qualifications

• RN license in active, unrestricted status with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing services.
• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• BSN degree preferred; not required as per job listing.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care from admission to post-discharge.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, collaborates with care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety and ethical practice.
• Administers medications, treatments, and therapies per protocols.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units/departments to meet patient care needs.
• Demonstrates communication and teamwork; provides education and professional development.
