Job summary

The Registered Nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee, IL delivers safe, high-quality patient care in Telemetry using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

You’ll provide direct patient care within scope of practice and guide patient/family teaching on care plans. This full-time day shift rotates weekends and holidays, with a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 and a comprehensive benefits package including 401K, medical, dental and vision coverage.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certification required upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using nursing process in Telemetry Unit.
• Direct patient/family teaching and supervise other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and test results.
