Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care in the Telemetry unit, following the nursing process from assessment to evaluation. The RN will provide direct patient care and guide patient/family teaching while coordinating with nursing staff.

The role requires strong communication with physicians about patient status, and readiness to respond to changes in condition.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification; preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s condition and test results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and response to treatment.
