The role requires a BSN (or ADN with commitment to BSN within three years), IL RN license, and BLS certification. Strong teamwork, communication, and analytical skills are essential in this patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• BSN required or ADN with commitment to obtain BSN within 3 years of employment.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform established nursing care with attention to age-specific needs and safety.
• Develop and update patient care plans with input from the interdisciplinary team and patient/family.
• Administer prescribed medications and provide patient education on medications and treatments.
• Document treatments, assessments, and patient responses accurately and timely.
• Communicate patient status and changes to physicians and the nursing team.
• Assist in discharge planning and patient/family teaching to support transition of care.
• Adhere to Standards of Care and OSHA guidelines to ensure high-quality, safe patient care.
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement and collaborate with care teams to optimize outcomes.
