Job summary

Baptist Health in Richmond, KY is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Telemetry unit on the night shift (7A-7P). The 22-bed Med Surg Telemetry unit cares for medical/surgical and telemetry patients with diverse co-morbidities and complex needs.

The RN will provide professional nursing care, follow the nursing process, and ensure adherence to hospital policies and standards. The role requires current KY RN licensure, BLS, and timely ACLS/PALS and NIHSS training as indicated.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure recognized by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure or temporary Kentucky work permit.
• BLS certification required; ACLS & PALS (or ENPC) within 6 months of hire.
• NIHSS within 3 months of hire.
• Completion of competencies as identified on the departmental nurse competency grid.

Responsibilities

• Assessment and identification of patient needs and implementation of appropriate interventions.
• Delegation of nursing care activities and supervision; maintain a plan for delivering nursing care.
• Access to medication storage and adherence to hospital policies.

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing

Bachelor's Degree preferred
